【Japan】University of the Ryukyus – 2024 Summer Program

Location: Okinawa Prefecture, Japan
Dates: August 8 (Thursday) – August 17 (Saturday), 2024
Activities Include:
Classroom learning
Visits to the Okinawa Peace Memorial Museum, Himeyuri Peace Museum, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, etc.

🔸 Note: English will be the main language used during the program.
💰【Program Fee】
JPY 45,000
Includes:
Accommodation
Admission/visit fees
Excludes:
Insurance (must be purchased individually)
Airfare, meals, local transportation outside of the program schedule, and other personal expenses
Payment details will be provided only after acceptance into the program.
🕒【Kainan University Internal Deadline:】
June 26, 2024 (Wednesday) by 12:00 PM (noon)
Please submit all required hardcopy documents to the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs (Room B112) before the deadline.
Incomplete submissions or late materials will be considered voluntary withdrawal.
Selected students will be notified via email.

Official academic transcript (Chinese version)
Copy of Japanese proficiency certificate and score report (optional)
⚠️【Important Notes】
All applications must be submitted through Kainan University.
Do not contact the host university directly or apply independently.
A reflection report must be submitted within one week after returning to Taiwan.
Please obtain parental or legal guardian consent before applying. Cancellations for personal reasons will not be accepted.
All submitted documents are non-returnable. Please scan or copy for your own records.
Participants must comply with Taiwanese laws, Kainan University regulations, Japanese laws, and host institution policies.
Please follow the official itinerary and do not leave the group during the program.
As this is a group program, avoid behavior that may disturb others or violate program rules.
Participants who repeatedly violate rules may be sent back to Taiwan at their own expense, regardless of the program’s progress.
Submitting your application indicates you have read and agreed to all terms.
