INTRODUCTION

Chinese Language Center (CLC) at Kainan University was established in 2005, originally located at the Taoyuan campus and later expanded to Taipei in 2006. Due to its convenient location near the Taoyuan Aerotropolis, the CLC has become an ideal place for foreign students to learn Mandarin Chinese. The center employs experienced Mandarin teachers who have received professional training to provide comprehensive language teaching services in small classes. The center places a strong emphasis on student learning outcomes, providing guidance for students to pass the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) and acquire excellent Mandarin proficiency, allowing them to smoothly transition into domestic universities and connect with higher education in Taiwan. 

The purposes of the Chinese Language Center:

1. 1. Planning a complete and professional Chinese language study course.
2. 2. Planning a complete and professional teacher training related course.
3. 3. Providing a complete Chinese language learning course for the exchange of foreign teachers and students of Kainan University.
4. 4. Cooperating with the Ministry of Education, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee, the World Chinese Language Education Association and other relevant units to provide Chinese language cooperation plans.

CLC TEAM

Since February 2023, Dr. Hsueh-Jui LIU has served as the Director of the Chinese Language Center. In the CLC, we also have a CEO as well as a full-time administrative staffer. Apart from the administration team, there are more than 10 Chinese teachers in the CLC.

COURSE INFORMATION

• -Start date: According to the rule of the Center, feel free to send mail for asking first
• -Course hours: 150 hours in one period (three months one period)
• -Course fee: NTD$ 26000 
• -Registration fee: NT$ 500
• -Class time: from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm, 3 hours each day
